JungleEddie says:

How well would a watch like this maintain water resistance? Would I still be safe swimming with it is 10yrs? 30yrs?

Lui Jason says:

Hi! May I know this watch’s weight?

sofrech1991 says:

Is the difference in bracelet build quality / finish actually tangible between this and the Royal Oak? This bracelet looks absolutely stunning!

Baodinh NGUYEN says:

Hey Tim. Any planned review of the skeleton dial version? Good work!

Adamas says:

Awesome watch review as usual Tim!

I love, love, love the openworked / skeletonised model on the black rubber strap with blue alligator leather coating!!!

Terry C says:

We need more of these “Not-a-Rolex” sport watches to choose from. The JLC Polaris is a good start, and now this good looking offering from Zenith. It does look like RO and Hublot have had some influence on its design, but it clearly has its own unique look.

Tim, can you review the open dial version please? Thank you.

Dwayne the 'Rock-Hard' Johnson says:

IMO the best configuration of the 2018 defy classic. Gorgeous

Probably even my favorite zenith ever

Michal Sulinski says:

How hard is it to make a screw down crown on a sports watch? I mean, is this done to cut costs?

City of Gentlemen says:

I wish the date wheel was the same tone as the dial. The white, although I understand for visual clarity, but I think it breaks up the dial too much.

WatchBox Reviews says:

I received many requests for this watch here and on Instagram. And the reason is obvious; this is an attractive and well-priced 2018 debut by Zenith. I believe it to the be most appealing of the Brand’s Basel offerings for the year and a welcome break from the LVMH “corporate” look pervading the rest of the Zenith catalog.

Mike M says:

Very nice, what grade Titanium?

RealEnglishEducation says:

You have so many lovely things to say about this watch, but I don’t see the beauty. Call me names if you wish (I am sure someone will) but to me it looks like a cross between a Patek Philippe Nautilus and a Audemars Piguet Royal Oak with a Casio dial.

MakawakaM says:

It has a lot of similar design elements to the Ingenieur 3239. I hated the Ingy in pics and videos, but I was blown away the second I put it on my wrist.

I think the Defy looks good in this video, and it will be a stunner in person.

Dis Count says:

the poor mans vacheron overseas

edesge says:

I wish it had a big date at 6, it would make the dial more symmetric and interesting, and differentiate it from AP and hublot.

Sami Anttila says:

I think that is the coolest watch. But where’s the new movement without traditional escapement?

Cranking All Day says:

The elite movement is fantastic, people don;t ever give it enough credit!!

Alex Crouch says:

Still wouldn’t sell my 15400 for one.
They need to change the dial a bit I think.
Too much Hublot Fusion meets AP

Dan Tan says:

Lose the date, please, Zenith, and make it smaller!

Melchizedek Phuah Siow Jin says:

It’s an underrated stunner.

gmshadowtraders says:

Such a bad boy watch! The blue dial pops!

SP says:

Marketing Photos left me cold, now seeing on wrist on video and I am very pleased 😀

Chris Santosusso says:

This was my favorite every watch release from this past year. I’d like to see them put it out in a silver/grey and black for the dial

Bramble D says:

I think my dad would love this!! Has it already sold?

cal2201 says:

I would go get an IWC Ingenieur at about same price and better design

RandomDave says:

Would buy it in a heart beat if it was 38mm 🙁

Damien Mamet says:

Hi Tim. How does the blue dial compare to the Rolex datejust 41 you reviewed yesterday?

PuYang7 says:

Whaa, I missed this video. Good thing I check back here on a regular basis. I really really like this watch, but still find it too big for the design. I understand 45 lug to lug is quite compact, but for such a clean/simple dial, I would have loved to see ~37 or 38mm case. And doesn’t seem like the movement actually fills out the case. Hopefully Zenith continues to make watches like this!
