Welcome to the world of Vacheron Constantin as we explore the functions and care of the Patrimony 40mm, 18k rose gold with slate dial. The watch is a slim, manually winding dress watch. It is a modern homage to the classic mid-century 1940s – 1960s ultra thin watches.

The modern Patrimony, while keeping the classic proportions features modern sizing. The watch is almost all dial with slim rose gold halo and strong, straight lugs to give character and masculinity.. The watch also maintains the classical ultra thin profile for which the dress watches were known. Thanks to a 2.4mm thick caliber, the watch is an outstanding complement to a tight sleeve or cuff.

The dial of the watch is in a rich anthracite tone complemented with the rose gold tones of the indices and iconic Patrimony baton hands. These hands trace a dimpled minute track outboard of the applied and polished hour track with a discrete Maltese cross and Vacheron Constantin script at 12 o’clock.

The rose gold watch sits upon a brown rectangular scale alligator leather strap and a traditional pin buckle enhanced with high polish finish and the Maltese cross logo. No detail is let untold.

On the case back, the watch is endowed with a solid and vertically grained cover providing a 30m water resistance and support for the ultra thin watch. Beneath the cover is the Vacheron Constantin caliber 1400 manual wind movement providing a 40 hour power reserve and the Hallmark of Geneva.
