It’s been a while, but it’s Three On Three time again. We’ve compared funky independent watches under $15,000, in-house, manually-wound dress watches under $20,000, and even some powerhouse chronographs from the biggest name manufactures around. But now it’s time to tackle one of the most popular categories of watches of the modern era: stainless steel luxury sport watches. Here we’ve got the watch that started it all, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, the modern interpretation from an old-school manufacture, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas, and a totally new budget-friendly addition to the category, the Piaget Polo S. i will go with the vacheron constantin !!!
Man that middle guy is LAME
So this is what happens when Clymer promises the Piaget Marketing executive after his blowjob?
AP FTW!
are we suppose to believe that Overseas and Polo S are in the same league as RO?? I think not
By the way, we love the videos just wish they were more frequent. You have an audience! How about “A week on the wrist” what happened to that? More 3-on-3’s would be great too. Maybe geared towards the average mortal? How about Daytona, Speedmaster, El Primero? Pretty please?
obviously the royal oak takes the crown at least for me. i think that would be my first real luxury watch when i made it.
Everyone can suck my cock the nautilus looks the best hodinkee has been bribed heavily by vacheron thats why they picked it and they had to include that stupid polo because they were paid but also, if the nautilus was in the bunch there would be no contest this is stupid its just a comparison of the 2nd, 3rd, and 15th place instead of the king itself poorly.
COME ON GUYS! press the DISLIKE button for the fact that they didnt put the nautilus in !
The guy on the left and center are so pretentious. That Vacheron is a really substandard one in design compared to the royal oak. Wake up gents
The Piaget is not a bad looking watch but I agree with some of the other comments.
AP It’s just a nut ,a horrible design !!
God that Piaget is ugly
I’d have the ap anyday
What makes these ‘sports’ watches?
Age, polo20 Royal oak30 overseas40
WTF HODINKEE?? A PIAGET??
I actually like the Polo S in essence, but really think it could have benefitted from different case and bracelet finishing. Some kind of brushed finish at least on the top of the case and reversing the bracelet finish and it would be spot on. Especially for the pricing level.
The movement and the shape of the sweep second hand on the Piaget is pretty nice.
I love Piaget, it more beautiful …
I love the Overseas almost as much as I despise the Royal Oak
Tudor north flag inter grated bracelet certified chronometer in house movement higher power reserve cost a lot less
It AP from me,no question. ….
AP Royal oak for me. Perfection!
Man leaving the 5711 out is a huge oversite… or did they not pay for the advertisement;)
The only watch worth spending any coin on in that line up is the RO.
VC is most algent,AP handsome, Piaget beauful.
Let’s just different style
jesus, that piaget looks horendous
Nautilus?!
The Vacheron is heads and shoulders better than the other ‘big 3’ so to speak. Patek is sooo overrated by now. To me the big 3 shall always be A.Lange & Sohne, Vacheron Constantin and Breguet, Swiss heritagr notwithstanding.
By the looks of it that Piaget couldn’t even compete with a Grand Seiko
Loss of credibility for sure after this one
would like to hear opinions on the GP Laureato
The 3 hand polo S just doesn’t look particularly good. The chronograph version is actually quite a nice watch though. Especially at the relative bargain price for that level of chronograph piece.
@hodinkee what about the Girard Perregaux Laureato? A much better contender than the Polo I would say…
