Eduard Heuer was the inventor of the oscillating pinion. This is a key component in the construction of many chronograph movements and, in particular, is the component that lies at the center of the system for starting and stopping of the chronograph.
We visit the Swiss town Chevenez, near the French border, to observe the assembly of all of the components into a movement. This will give us a view of many components, in particular focusing on the column wheel and the oscillating pinion, that are otherwise covered by one of bridges of the finished TAG Heuer watch.
