It’s very easy for a gold cased watch to look gaudy and ostentatious, however that has to be one of the most elegant, classy, and understated dress watches I’ve seen. You could easily wear that to the office daily or to the most formal event. I bet it’s amazingly light to wear even being a gold case. The display back and level of design and finish on that movement just makes it even more amazing. JLC seems to get overlooked a fair amount of the time, and I don’t know why.

IDGuy says:

If I could choose one dress watch, one precious metal and one JLC. It would be this exact model. It is just perfection.

Konsta Haavisto says:

how in the world did they fit a mechanical movement in there

Craig Sekowski says:

Nice and clean

Seymour Butts says:

Absolutely gorgeous

Westley Greenhalf says:

From what I see, this one suffers a little from an upsizing of an old case design without taking in to account how it wears. The newer MUTs appear to have better shaped and relatively shorter lugs, which wrap around the wrist, allowing for a 38.5-40mm case to fit very well. The older 34mm suits the longer, slightly straighter lugs due to its smaller size. Further, the little dots near the Arabic numerals are awkward as are the numerals themselves, really (although they suit the older, smaller model). I imagine this would have been close to perfect with a full dial of dart markers, no dots and ever so slightly more curved lugs. The movement is beautiful and even with my complaints, this is still a lovely watch.

Sal Gonzalez says:

Pure classic clean design
jlc all the way

ACmbc says:

$9950? WB probably paid $3500 for this.

Shawn Chinnery says:

This is a real stunner, JLC can really bring the thunder.

Oe Elkhateeb says:

They should put this watch photo in Oxford dictionary next to the definition of “dress watch.”

T Johnson says:

Do you have any idea when was this released?

jumboJetPilot says:

I love everything but the thinness. I actually like my watches to have a little mass to them. That dial color is beautiful; ivory/cream makes the perfect dress watch dial color on a gold watch.

Alison Smith says:

One of the greats. Love this brand.Would take over a Patek any day.
