The Geophysic line launched by Jaeger-LeCoultre in the fall of 2015 is designed to offer a forward-thinking technology combined with an edgy neo vintage look. The first two models of this new line are both equipped with a high-performance regulator, the Gyrolab, that also provides deadbeat seconds, a mechanical refinement that makes the second hand jump from one second marker to the next without the usual barely perceptible steps in between. The Universal Time model additionally presents a world time function.
Jaeger-LeCoultre developed a completely new caliber for this collection named 770, which is destined to become a new backbone of the collection. Stéphane Belmont, head of marketing, comments the reasons for Jaeger-LeCoultre to have introduced this new line as he presents the current models.

Nice style
COOL !!!
Their new models are really boring… they seem to be falling behind.
JLC apes quartz an pisses antipodeans off. Sorry, not one of their best. Give me a Reverso over this any day.
Incredible watch… price is reasonable in steel for universal time. the new movement seems awesome. This looks like a watch I need to go look at live.
I tried a couple of these on…movement is beautiful, but…I can’t get over the fact it looks like a Quartz…no go for me, sorry
Is it me or the deadbeat second hand doesn’t hit the marker exactly but a little off?
You can see the movement trying to come through the second hand. haha
The watch (universal time geophysic) looks like great! One point: the secondhands is turning with a non-continuos movement that, in my opinion, looks like a quartz model. A fallen of style for 14.000€ (more or less)
Definitely a watch for those with nothing to prove. Not a lot of people would be willing to pay over $10k for a watch with a movement that looks like it’s quartz.
I really really enjoy the new Geophysic Collection from JLC! Not only a true engineers time measuring instrument but a very versatile Dress watch with a simple look and great caliber! One day I’ll get one! 🙂
Est-ce qu’un jour pourriez-vous nous partager vos musiques ?
I’ve tried on the true second and was very impressed. It amuses me that they have this wonderful piece and make it tick like a quartz .
I don’t like this cause if you looked at the movement and/pr dial you can clearly see that the hand moves very slowly then it jumps every second. Would be really nice if it actually was a dead stop with jumps.
I love watches with a map on them! in Jaeger they have a way to mix tradition with modern , and the result works great!
