Tim Mosso discusses luxury watches with our global audience of watch buyers and collectors. We cover discuss Rolex watches, IWC watches, Jaeger-LeCoultre watches (and new CEO), MB&F watches, and watches for superheroes. Our discussion of watches takes a theatrical turn as we consider which luxury watches best suit the Avengers. The Hulk and Bruce Banner are a natural pair for the 2012 IWC Pilot’s Watch Father and Son (5009 and 3255, respectively); Captain America would wear a vintage US Navy Hamilton BUShips canteen crown service-issue; Iron Man has issues fitting his watch under a “suit” cuff, so Tim recommends the Jaeger LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Jubilee; Black Panther clearly made serious bank with his recent solo-feature, but he’s a head-of-state who needs to show discretion, and the king of Wakanda likes exotic metals, so a titanium Ochs Und Junior annual calendar is the natural choice; Loki is villain with outside delusions of grandeur and a baby-sized wrist, so an Hublot Oceanographic 4000 in Hublot King Gold is the natural choice. The Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris Geographic World Timer is a new 42mm world time and dual time watch from the 2018 Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris collection. This model features a spectacular blue gradient dial and a Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 936 automatic movement; water resistance to 100 meters has been promised, and the watch will be available exclusively at Jaeger LeCoultre boutiques for 13,650 euros. IWC comes roaring back from an already strong SIHH 2018 with its Pilot’s Watch Chronograph IW377724, a tribute to the original 1994 IWC 3706 Pilot’s Watch Chronograph. With patina-style dial, classic IWC flieger chronograph style, and an attractive price of $4,950 U.S., this IWC e-boutique exclusive (until October 2018) offers an attractive bargain proposition. MB&F surprises and delights with the latest version of its SIHH 2017 MB&F HM7 Aquapod; the MB&F Aquapod Ti Green. Now available for $108,000 US, the 50-piece MB&F HM7 Aquapod reprises the automatic tourbillon movement from 2016 with new green-glowing AGT Ultra lume blocks. Finally, we discuss Jaeger-LeCoultre’s new CEO Catherine Alix-Ranier, Swiss watch export data for March 2018, the “best article of the week,” and wrist shots from our global audience of watch collectors. Our audience will offer its commentary alongside Tim’s thoughts during this interactive wristwatch web show. Remember to like, comment, and subscribe for more great content from WatchBox Studios.

James Duffy says:

Don’t get down on your social media reach, Tim! Even if one were to reliably detect neutrinos, they would only be passing through the bottle and never contained within.

Naresh Pape says:

Thanks for all the thoughtful discussion, knowledge, and informative information Tim. A couple of videos ago you mentioned the Vacheron Constantin 1972 Prestige. My question is: Is the F.P. Journe Elegante 48mm a good value proposition against the VC 1972? After seeing the VC, i think it could be my grail dress watch. Are these two watches too different to compare? Thanks again Watch Box, and keep up the great content!

Cam M. says:

Glass cliff situation at Jaeger? Kind of looks like it…

Kovacs Kovacs says:

I would have chosen the IWC for Tony Stark. He’s basically a pilot in that Iron Man suit. For Bruce Banner, AKA the Hulk, I would have gone with the Omega Speedmaster Coaxial with the NASA velcro strap. He’s a physicist and would probably admire the history of that watch. Plus, he can size up the strap relatively quickly when he gets angry.

Ryan M says:

Tim, your thoughts on the new green MB&B Aquapod??? :-p

Richard Baptist says:

Tim you had me cracking up today with the show. Love the hulk watches. I also read your featured article earlier today and it’s the first Patek that I like and who sees an annual calendar with a regulator? Interesting watch.

Conrad Magalis says:

I’m looking forward to seeing the new CEO of JLC take the reigns. Hoping for aspirational designs and historic innovations, similar to the Metrailler era.

Jari Norvanto says:

PP is very hyped, even mainstream if not contaminated by pleb mannerism. But hot damn, that 5235G is cool.

CK ROY says:

Thank you Tim for putting JLC on the discuss, JLC is now my favourite brand, the best way to get into haute horology without breaking the bank. Nice video.

Dan Tan says:

Come on, Tim. There could only be one Watch for the Hulk! The Rolex Submariner ‘Hulk’!

Dave Lemieux says:

Tim, it’s David Banner

Bubba B says:

Funny Avenger watch comparison. Not bad picks Tim, but I see it different, not bad though. Fast paced show but thank you for at least a brief show and good content. Still did miss a lot of content this week due scheduling or work commitments. Hopefully you are working on that, I appreciate the update with Josh and Jason. Still a hole in Tuesday before you. Plus no weekend content. Hope your dinner date was positive. Nice job Mosso.

TheOKTerrificable says:

Hawkeye would wear a Casio G-Shock. Tacticool, and more money for his wife & kids.

JD Michael says:

What a fun show. Great energy. It was the highlight of my Friday night happy hour and the deck.

Amintas Neto says:

Another great show Tim.
Yes, the PP 5235G is a hidden jewel in the industry nowadays.
I’m pretty sure this remarkable piece will become a big hit once Patek stops producing it 😉

Max Tappan says:

Congrats on the opening of the new location in Switzerland! Love seeing this organization grow. Iv been here since the wood paneling in Miami ha 🙂

8rick1ane says:

Tim have you seen a AP royal oak black ceramic in real life and if so when will you show it on one of your shows?

Kubilay Demir says:

Another great video from Tim and the WatchBox Video Team.

WatchBox Studios says:

Hi all. Thank you to each and every one of you for bearing with me, the short-format broadcast, and the frenetic pacing today. There was a group of ten major YouTube/Instagram celebrities that we invited to watch the broadcast live inside the studio, and I was under the gun to deliver this crew to a dinner appointment. You’ll get to see the fruits of our joint efforts fairly soon, but today needed to be a quicker and more jovial show than most.

Jake Roth says:

Ugh, people honestly still take pictures of watches and cigars.
