I got a cartier santos from my grandad for christmas, used to be my great grandparents watch. It looks and feels real, even under a microscope. the numbers on the watch match up to the real one aswell. But when i took the case off to change the battery its got a modern non-cartier movement. Its a vintage peice so i doubt its fake (as fakes have only got good in the last few years), but i still cant figure out why its got that movement. I was thinking the original movement got broken and the replaced it but im not sure.
Have you got any ideas???

Excellent video….If vendors were more inclined to do as you’ve done by showing the actual inside movement, markings etc. of a particular watch it would help to eliminate fraud in the sales and bolster consumer confidence in the purchase of vintage luxury watches….Well done!
