Fucking excellent review. Informative and interesting. Thank you.
I always wondered what people see in a Cartier that makes it so special. The Cartier name definitely carries prestige, but looking at this watch, it looks very simple, albeit elegant. An Omega, Rolex or Breitling are in roughly the same price field and they all look more practical and distinctive than a Cartier. I would even go as far as to say that something look a Cerutti, Seiko or Raymond Weil, all medium-end luxury watches, look more complex than a Cartier. What really makes the Cartier tick in some people, I would not know. It is a lovely watch, but is it on par with its competitors? That’s just my opinion.
This Santos be modern 100 years from now. Absolutely timeless. However I have noticed that absolutely no one wants my Rotary MECANIQUE despite the similarity and low cost.
Is the default band black or brown? I’ve only seen versions with black bands?
Cool watch and a great review!
A perfect review, worthy of the piece. 10/10.
Just went to my local jeweller to check this out, really dissapointed how they’ve ruined a lot of these beautiful watches with diamonds
so the xl santos sits more like a 44mm?
great review!!! thank you so much
i have a question, is there a model the cartier santos 100 chronograph without the “automatic” taped on it??
They’re nice i think, real classic looking.
All your watch reviews are superb. I hope you write one on the Drive de Cartier. I love the historical information, technical dialogue and descriptive language. Bravo!
Wesley from Daredevil wore this. And I want it.
