gew1898 says:

G-Shock as an alternative to a A.P. Royal Oak? I quit watching at that point.

robert bishop says:

Hi TGV, ever thought about Damasko watches. I find their engineering fascinating. Any chance of reviewing a Damasko DC66 or DA44? Many thanks.

Panos Panourgias says:

my little mouni! say that to a Greek! love the vids!

K.D.P. Ross says:

Love the look of that Perregaux (especially the blue-dialled one!); may have to see if I can try one on at some point … I *like* the Royal Oak, but the case + bracelet just sits extremely awkardly on my wrist.

As you know, I’m planning to add a Basculante at some point; something about the proportions and styling speak to me more than the Reverso … and it’s ‘desk clock’ trick is pretty great ;~}

Cheers for the shout-out; yes, I have the black-dial Glamour 56000 (review here: … Love the watch … except that the lug width is 21mm.

TGV, I’ve just started watching your channel over the last month or so, and I’m really enjoying your videos. I’ve picked up a couple Seiko’s based not soley, but mainly on your reviews. I really enjoyed seeing your recommendations for my G-SHOCK and my identical Hamilton in this video. Thanks for what you do.

Mike Chan says:

Great vid, TGV! The Seiko SNKL15, 17, 19 and 23 can also be alternatives to the Daydate, or a Datejust.

harathehun says:

About the coffee-intro… I thought you’re a Gaggia-guy! But at least, if you are fond of this way of coffee-making, I have an affordable alternative 😉 Try the Bialetti Brikka, it’s more sophisticated in looks and in the way it works as well. It’s a well respected Italian brand and a genuine, legendary design, so you’ll love it in more than one ways!

Daniel Reeses Pieces says:

we don’t need to see how you make your damn coffee

James Osemeke Ugbo says:

‘Tally bally ho’ to you too Hugo. hahaa

Cfz says:

does anyone know the name of the intro music? Thanks

James Luscombe says:

A nice alternative to the AP Royal Oak is the Edox Delfin, released before the Royal Oak design and can pick them up for about £1000

Gerald Wood says:

Awesome video i noticed that the Hamilton would also make a great affordable. alternative to the I.W.C. ingenuer like federico has

omar abukhudair says:

better than Seiko

Kavinsky Smith says:

With the watches you recommend do you actually recommend them based off of the fact that you’ve had the brand or the model before. or just the brand.

as some of these I’ve never seen on the channel before, like that Casio 106 you recommended awhile back.

Lofty says:

I’m actually wearing my SUP880 right now! Bought it for my birthday, love it.

omar abukhudair says:

I have Orient day-date , automatic , sapphire crystal , screw back , screw crown

TWinbrook46636 says:

Although the Tudor Prince Date+Day (ref 76200) was discontinued in most markets many years ago it is still offered by Tudor in certain Asian markets like Hong Kong where they never left as they did had the US and UK. They are featured in the 2015/2016 catalog for these markets and come with the current style Tudor warranty card introduced a couple years ago. They are a great way to get a “Day Date” at a significantly lower price if you want that classic design as opposed to the more modern (and larger) Glamour and Classic models.

Jollopukki2 says:

cartier tank have no seconds hand, so no problem to have it quartz))

Mohanned Walid says:

what is a genter design?

Isaac Peterson says:

just picked myself up a casio retro. I completely agree with what you said once in one of your videos, and i am too enjoying and having a lot of fun with this classic little piece. Love your channel!

mordantwit says:

no love for the bvlgari Octo? I think that’s the closest to the AP Royal Oak and significantly cheaper. Maybe worth a look.

jasio kowalski says:

How about the Seiko SNXJ89?

Koji Takata says:

That G Shock actually looks like an Hublot.

robert bishop says:

Great article, I love that Hamilton, the most attractive of the watches you showed, very nice.

luwe watches says:

Hi TGV. that Gp Laureato, isn’t laureato the Italian word for prized ?

Ted Barrera says:

Tudors are pretty much homage watches though…

jomni says:

I got interested in the JLC Reverso recently. But when I saw them in the flesh, I was underwhelmed. It’s just isn’t for me.

Alberto D'Antoni says:

Hi thanks for your interesting videos! Have you ever heard Abeler & Söhne? I’m looking for some suggestions! Enjoy

Mohanned Walid says:

What is a ‘genter’ design?

Chuck Bonafede says:
